Comments: It was really interesting to find Mayyanad on the world wide web. Having both my parents originally coming from Kackotumoola and myself having done college studies in Trivandrum it is really refreshing to see our roots and origins. I am sure many of us who are now settled overseaa would share my views. The pictures could be expanded to include even maybe houses and people of the villages. My congratulations to Uncle John Bastian {a cousin of my parent}(wasn't he a teacher in Brunei?) for such good quality pictures. Keep it up.

Comments: It is good informative for us to know about heritage back in India. However more ideas/ information should be available on economic issues as well. This could also lead to oversea malayalees to invest back home,if such information could be made.

Comments: Very nice see my birthplace(Mayyanad) on Web. Mayyanad Panchayat mainly consists of area in vast of Mayyanad, Koottikkada & Kottiyam. If you can add more abouts of Kottikkada & Kottiyam, then it will be got more coverage of Mayyanad. Also request to add more pictures to Mayyanad Web.

Comments: am really surprised to see mayyanad in the net... anyway i think it was really cool.... i am born and raised tere... i was tere for 16years... so many memories.. good and bad.... but mayyanad is wa mad me how i am... i came here 5years ago and didnt gat a chance to go back.. i wana go back just see the place..and my house... and my school.. mayyanad high school.. ta school ....the teachers... my friends.. i missed it all.. and mainly i missed my girl simi.... those dayssss..i alwas wish if i could go back... no worriess, always happy,...... over here.... its all bull shit...we cant even have a true friend here... here is good only for the money.. if we gata see love we gata go back to our place ..... man i missed it.... me and my friends used to go and play cricket every day at the mayyanad h.s ground... then we come to my house play cards or somting... the days we used to go to the tmeple to see girls.... lol.. the kallu shap.... mukkam kadal.... thanni muku... pulichira palli perunalll..... just the days i can only dream to have it again... if any of my friends see this message me my e-mail is haramsala920@hotmail.com and the ppl who dont really know me.... am from rajendrabhavan the tutorial akshara is loketed opposit to my house.. i dont know if it still ther... dammm i used to look at the girls commin out form akshara from my house.... those silly days.... once again i wana thank the ppl who made this sit... but if u can try to put up some more pictures..... it will be really great if u can.... so try u r best... take care all............. Comments: In 2002 Matilda & I visited Mayyanad the birth place of her father Peter George, also known as Peter Gerald. Matilda's parents moved to Singapore before WW2 where Matilda was born in 1944. I came to Singapore to teach, we met & were married there in 1971. Since then I have taught in New Zealand, Papua New Guinea & Australia. We have 3 grown up children now & a grand daughter. Peter & Susana came to live in Rockhampton died & are buried here. Pauline Louis, Matilda's eldest sister lives in London with her family. We came to Kollam to attend Anne's wedding. I particularly liked the boat trip over the lake & enjoyed walking on the sand bar close to the ocean. I told Matilda, "this is the best place in India & next time we visit I'd like to stay there." Cheers.
